"THE LIVING DEATH"
EC's 4th foray into Poe was another "loose" adaptation, this one based on...
"THE FACTS IN THE CASE OF M. VALDEMAR".
Like their previous adaptations, this story is probably known by most people for its appearance in the Roger Corman anthology film, "TALES OF TERROR". The story appeared in what was, after "MAD", EC's most famous (or infamous) publication, "TALES FROM THE CRYPT". The anthology title was the focus of both a 1972 feature film, and a TV series in the 1990s.
The art was by Graham Ingels.
This was his 2nd of 3 POE stories.
