  1. Another planet destroyed, but I guess this time it wasn't really the fault of the Space Conquerors! Then again, Alpha Centauri had been around 4-1/2 billion years or so, and one of its stars picked this moment to go supernova.

    Note the very 2001: Discovery look to the big spaceship in February 1970.
